IT services in English for businesses in Germany

Active Directory audits, Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 projects, virtualisation and security work for small and medium-sized businesses in Germany, run remotely from France by an independent provider, in English, with on-site visits on quotation.

Germany

Key facts

Who this is for

Many businesses in Germany work in English every day: subsidiaries of international groups, start-ups in Berlin or Munich, engineering firms with international teams, companies whose IT lead does not speak German. For them, finding an infrastructure specialist who works comfortably in English is not always easy. That is the gap we fill.

SolidKern is a French IT service provider based in Villiers-le-Bel, north of Paris. We work with businesses in Germany in English only: calls, reports, documentation and quotes. We do not work in German, and we prefer to say so clearly rather than offer an exchange we could not hold properly. If your team needs German-language documentation or training, a local provider will serve you better for that part.

How we work with you

We have no office, address or representative in Germany. Every project starts remotely, through secure remote sessions, shared documents and video calls. When a project genuinely needs someone on site, for example a server room inventory or a hands-on workshop, a visit to Germany can be added to the quote, with travel costs stated in advance.

Our entire catalogue is available: audits, migrations, virtualisation, virtual desktops, Microsoft 365 and Intune, awareness training and IT project management. Each service is a project with a defined scope, deliverables and a price agreed before work starts. We work only with businesses, not with consumers.

What we do not offer outside France is ongoing engagement: day-to-day administration or monitoring of your systems, on-call duty, or a guaranteed recovery time after an incident. These call for someone who can be at your premises within hours, and we are happy to work alongside the provider who does that for you.

Same time zone, same currency, same data protection rules

Paris and Germany share Central European Time, so there is no time difference to manage. Calls are set at times that suit you, and planned changes to production, such as a server role cut-over, can be scheduled outside your business hours when the quote provides for it, with a rollback plan written beforehand.

Prices are set and invoiced in euros: no currency conversion; bank charges on your side are borne by you. VAT not applicable (article 293 B of the French General Tax Code); the tax arrangements specific to Germany and to your business are set out on the quote, before any commitment. Unless agreed otherwise, 30% is due on order and the balance by the milestones set in the quote, by bank transfer. Starting prices are on our pricing page, and the free 30-minute discovery call is booked from the contact page.

Both countries apply the GDPR. Our own business data is hosted in the European Union, and when we process personal data on your behalf, a processing agreement under article 28 of the GDPR is part of our terms.

The German legal context of your IT projects

We are not lawyers and do not give legal advice. What we do is implement the technical side: access control, logging, backups, encryption, incident procedures and documentation. Knowing the rules that frame your project helps us scope it correctly.

GDPR and the BDSG

The GDPR applies directly in Germany, supplemented by the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). Among its specific rules, section 38 BDSG requires a private company to appoint a data protection officer when, as a rule, at least 20 people are constantly involved in the automated processing of personal data, or when its processing requires a data protection impact assessment.

TDDDG

Section 25 of the Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG) requires consent before information is stored on or read from a user's device, unless it is strictly necessary for the service the user asked for. It applies to cookies on your website, but also to tracking in apps and on devices you manage.

NIS2 and the BSI Act

The German NIS2 implementation act entered into force on 6 December 2025 and brought around 29,500 companies under the supervision of the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI). Entities covered must register with the BSI, report significant security incidents within 24 hours, and implement documented risk management measures. We explain what that means for your IT on our page on NIS2 in Germany.

BFSG

Since 28 June 2025, the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) requires certain products and services offered to consumers, including online shops, to be accessible; micro-enterprises providing services are exempt. It concerns your customer-facing website more than your infrastructure.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work in German?

No. We work with businesses in Germany in English only: calls, reports, documentation and quotes. If part of your project requires German, a local provider is better placed for that part.

Can you work on our systems from France?

Yes. Audits, migrations, Microsoft 365 and Intune, virtualisation and awareness training are delivered through secure remote sessions and video calls, in your own time zone. A visit to Germany can be added to the quote when needed.

Can you administer our IT on a day-to-day basis?

No. We do not take on ongoing administration or monitoring, on-call duty or guaranteed recovery times outside France. Each service is a project with a defined scope.

Can you make us NIS2 compliant?

We do not give legal advice or guarantee compliance. We implement and document the technical measures the BSI Act requires, such as access control, logging, backups and incident handling, so that your management can rely on them.
